    No body

No body has make a coil of 1m X 1m.

    I need learn about that

        Ok, thank

But, what wire gauge and how many turns ???

          No much information

          There's no much information.

I need make a 1mx1m and the information about is more small.

I need , the wire gauge and others especifications, for ejample the damper resistor

          Thank

I took a multifilament wire because it must be some elastic. a diameter 'of copper' must be not less than 1,8-2 mm.

              And,

              How many turns ????

              Thank,

Number of turns & damping resistor depends on the PI you're building it for. I believe the 1m x 1m coil I made ended up close to 500uH with 8 turns.

                  OK, Carl

                  Carl,

For ejemple, in tha HH PI what wire gauge you recomend ? and what damper resistor?

You have some method for calculate the apropiate damper resistor ? or some practical method ?

I am making TWIN LOOP, but with only one coil and with a MOSFET (not IRF 740, another) but with 8" coils does not give good results. In the output of pre (709) I see a noise. I want probe with other coils, 1mX1m. With teh actual coil only get large objects (10cmx10cm) at about 30 cm from the coil. How you can see there's something wrong.

                  Thank,

I think I used 24AWG or something like that. Damping resistor is found by looking at decay settling with an oscope. If you have no oscope, then adjust the damping R until you get max sensitivity to a given target.

                      very good, Carl

I think that with a potentiometer of 1k of nicron i can obtein the best value using a metal object to probe.

How you construct your coils square o radial ????

                      Resuming:

                      24 awg
                      8 turns

1mx1m if square or 1m diameter if radial

                      is ok ???

Not sure I would use a pot for damping, instantaneous current might be a tad high for it. If you do use a pot to find an optimal value, I would then replace it with a fixed resistor.

I built a square coil. Try it with those parameters, see what you get.
