  • Heathkit GD-48 Metal detector

Hi I am wanting to re-produce a heathkit GD-48 from scratch and I need help only with the coil winding.it appears that the detecting coil has 5 taps which two are single wires and the other three appear to be stranded,my question is how do I wind this coil to get the stranded "taps" needed.also, what size wire would I use and how many turns?the diameter is 10"also the small pick up coil is tapped also, please tell me the proper procedure to wind this coil, and where can I get the coil material? thanks Lloyd

The wires are stranded only in the union points, 2, 3, 4 and 7 (receiver).
