I have worked with these cables since 1994, so I have my own opinion.
You are absolutely right. The monitor cable will not work. Verified!!!

Judging by the photo you submitted, I see you are a skilled marketer.
Why didn't you clean the coax and show it in the photo?
        Probably because:

External diameters of cables from monitors - 8mm, 7.5mm, 6mm.
On the coaxial conductors in these cables:
In cables with an outer diameter of 6 mm and 7.5 mm, the central core of the coax consists of 7 wires with a diameter of 0.086
mm (AWG39), these are monitor cables manufactured in the 21st century.
In cables with an outer diameter of 8 mm, the central core of the coax consists of 7 wires with a diameter of 0.114 mm (AWG37)
        - these are mostly monitor cables of the last century.
One question - for what period of time will the resource of 7 cores of such a cable be enough?

for monitor it works, for PI it does not work... you are big specialist... clean the coax first. i still not see pics from your side.

This thread is about Whites DFX (VLF circuit principle) and your argument is about PI detectors!
I am ending this discussion, I will not waste my time on you.

give me the diameters of the DFX cable, then begin to disput LOL!
и никогда не лезь в спор если нихрена ничего не понимаешь. ЭТО НЕ ТВОЕ. да, я может быть был сбит ответом Джорджа... бывает... тем более кабель SVGA подходит.

Thanks for the responses. I certainly didn't mean for anyone to get into an argument! I tried cutting into one of the modern "slim" SVGA cables, but the conductors were very, very thin, and I didn't think it would hold up very well. I believe I know where I can get an older, thicker VGA cable, so I may try that next week. I also cut into a USB cable, and experimented with that, but it only has one shared shield and it isn't proper coaxial cable.
