Complete guide for build Coil for Mirage PI + Sniffer XR-71 ??

got 2 PCB Complete board

1-Mirage PI
2-Geotech Sniffer XR-71

this two come without Coil or any other information for how make coil for them.

anyone have complete tutorial for someone newbie in Metal Detectors ... Please share to me.

Hi,
as far as I know there are no dedicated coil making guides for the Mirage PI and/or Sniffer XR71 floating around the Internet. But if you search the Geotech forum you will find information about PI coils which can be also used with the Mirage or Sniffer detector. Another thing you should consider is the type of coil you want to make. There are several different types of coils and/or coil arrangements. Which one do you want to build? A concentric, basket, DD, figure-8, mono or maybe a big frame coil?

i have access to some old place near Beach ...
so i am looking good coil for detect place like Beach ... Desert ....
What you can advise ?

begin from small coil. its good if you will make 'basket' type coil. look info in the forum.
also, i want to give you a hard warning at first step.. NEVER FILL THE WINDING BY EPOXY. you just kill whole advantage of basket coil.
