  • DR.ÖTEK coil

I recently got a coil from one of these Amazon pallet sales places. The coil picture matches the one on the DR.ÖTEK detector. There are 5 pins. None of them have continuity with the metal shell. The middle pin has no continuity with any of the other pins. Looking at the end of the connector at the pins, numbered left to right 1 2 3 4 5 pin 3 seems to be a no connect. Pin 1-2 have an 8 ohm resistance, and a 5.6mH reading. Pin 4 -5 have a 30.1 ohm resistance, and a 2.5 mh reading.
Any idea of frequency ranges for this thing? Can it be used with any of the whites detectors here, or the other induction balance detectors that have been worked on here? I have a golden sabre board and a whites ID board that I have bought, but never built, basically because I did not have a coil. the coil matches this one visually https://www.amazon.com/DR-%C3%96TEK-...08ZY3TJLC?th=1

You'll need to put a sig-gen on it to see if it has a tuning cap inside. If not, then it could potentially be used on any detector, but it would require modifications to the detector circuitry. At which point a stock coil won't work. Even if it's tuned, you could make it work on a lot of detector circuits with enough changes to the circuit.
