    = strange, when you put a single Rx coil inside Tx coil the voltage in Rx can be much higher than preamplifier can handle, unless Rx has 1 turn.

      That's why I say, each RX coil probably has a bucking coil. The patent doesn't mention this and that may have been intentional.

        Yep, I think the single co-located concentric buck coil is the best but it's a real pain to set up always dancing around and fiddling with a loop of wire to get it just right, and what if there's one turn too many and the Rx is wound on after. Even if the buck coil was wound separately, a half turn too little and you're screwed(here comes that squiggly loop of wire to the rescue)
        I was thinking about an easier way to get the job done.

        The experimentalist is probably better off buying an off the shelf loop, but what's the joy in that?
