  • COIL REPAIR COMPASS

Hi! I have an older Compass coil whose ears are disintegrating, on solid coils I could grind the ears down and attach a new set made from plexiglass or so! But I was told not to do this since this coil is foam filled, grinding down could cause a hole in the loop which would cause other problems. I could glue in plexiglass cut to fit to each ear and fill in the misssing pieces with some type of filler! But I'm not sure if this is the best way to go, what do you guys think................?

Joe, I have new tops for the Compass 8 inch coils with the ears in stock. You can replace the entire top of your coil with one. I also have the hardware for sealing the cable into the new top. Also, I have the weld-on ears for the Compass 12 inch coils in stock as well. Keith
