I am hopefully agreeing this works with the F-19 but how do you think that coil shape will do in highly mineralized volcanic soils compared to the round Gold Bug 5" coil which was advised for this type soil?

I don't know, but if you specifically want the 5" coil then the Chinese have counterfeited that, too.

you have and meant NEWEST Fisher, has NOT RELATION to original Fisher Gold Bug NEVERWHERE -!!!
they are DIFFERENT detectors and have different coils -!!!
F-19 is manufactured by FIRST TEXAS, we say FT, no staff, no people working from old Fisher on F-19 -!!!

I have received helpful repair info. for the F19 from the quorum. Thanks. all

Can I get general confirmation the cable needed to repair from control box to coil is Belden 8723 cable?

A dual coax cable is preferable but a dual twisted pair might work OK. I don't like foil shielding because it tends to break down due to flexing, braided shield is much better.

Apparently, that shielding break down is exactly why this cable is failing in multiple spots!

braided shield breaks down more vs foil shielding, in a place of strain relief near the coil and near the socket.

Hello all, After all the great advice, it seems the easiest way to repair this damaged cable is to just splice in a new one and water-seal the spliced sections. So, the above advice mentions a sole cable, but the connector has five posts, which cable to use? the dual coaxial or the previously mentioned Belden 8723?
