  • Coil cable for pulse induction detectors and others.

Recently I purchased some DD coil cable as in litz wire constructed cable from Asia, I found these interesting attributes from two different sources, one cable set was showing far greater series resistance than some older 1996 reference DD cable that I had, so I scraped back the strands and tested the composition using a xrf gun, indications are 80% copper 10% zinc and minor readings of nickel, lead and tin.

The next one also was not pure copper but 20% mix tin lead antimony.

i measured the mono cable and the litz coil cable that I bought from Asia and it comes up as 98% copper, but with any impurity in copper it can have an extreme adverse effect on the conductivity, these impurities can also effect receiver sample times at the extreme end.

So, where can I obtain some decent DD coil cable specifically for pulse induction coil building?
