Anyone who has ever tried to make a coplanar coil for White's Classic metal detector; he met every inch of the way to hell and back!
Exactly 22 years ago I made many copies of the Classic III model. I tried to replicate the original coil.
These were the torments of Sisyphus.
And every attempt I made to "balance" such a coil ended up as a total fiasco.
Then I realized that I am not talented enough for such endeavors.
Then I started making "DD" coils and it paid off.
