  • OK guys....my 15" coil for the 6000 xl pro maybe has an issue?

I bought this coil used a few days ago. It checks out pretty good as far as shorts, opens etc. RX wires show 112.7 ohm and inductance of 34.6mh. TX shows 1.7 ohm, and .52mh. No shorts any of the pins to the shield. But, I'm showing a reading of 12.5 megs from RX+ to TX out. (pin 2 to pin 4). I took the coil apart, and it looks like resistors and caps inside. My question is: is this normal? Appreciate any help.
    Jim
PS...I already cut the plug off to remove that as a source of trouble.

Yes, I think that's normal. I believe this coil has a tiny amount of TX injection on the RX for the R-null.

YES!...many thanks Carl. I was hoping that was the deal on this. I appreciate the help. Now I go to get it back safely together again.

just ONE loop you see in middle changing RX amplitude in big range and phase on 360 grad. you are on the right way Jim now in the research.

Many thanks KT. Wish I had seen that before taking mine apart. That pic really explains it all, including how the feedback loop works.
