    A soldering iron easily melts the tape, but with a lot of care and a lot of flux I have successfully soldered a thin drain wire to the tape. However, all of the tape I have bought is also conductive on the adhesive side so the easiest solution is to just tape the drain wire to the shield.

        Thank you. And what is this tape? what does electrical conductivity consist of and due to what? Is shielding the VLF detector windings suitable?
