  • OHHHHH!! Mobius coil...Hmmmm

I was hunting on the web for a CNC coil winding machine to buy and I found this little gem. MIGHT just be of some use to you PI experimenters out there.

I've no idea what will happen if you try this type of coil, but given the properties the inventor reports, it might be something magical!!

Looks like a nice way of maximizing interwinding capacitance to inductance ratio.

So I got a little curious and asked, "What the heck would you use a Mobius coil for?" I should have suppressed my curiosity and moved on. It's used in a "Advanced 4th Generation Succor Punch Personal Orgone Tool" no less, which "uses Orgone Vacuum Injection , Compressed Discharge, and CaDens effects to radically increase the amount of power generated."

    "R
adically increase the amount of power generated" caught my eye. OK, how can that be used in a metal detector design? Well, we're told that, "Even with no signal to the coil the unit produces a steady stream of energy from the tip of the [quartz] crystal." Hey, I'm all for generating energy for free... saves on batteries ya know. But wait, there's a catch... there's always a catch: "the crystal output tip is doped with a proprietary mixture including kyanite and monoatomic gold / rhodium / iridium." I have everything but the monoatomic gold so it looks like a dead end. All my gold is biatomic or triatomic, with a little bit of icosidodecatomic mixed in.

      Erm...You aint got what now???

Shoulda read on shouldn't I, but hey it was late and the beer was going down MAYBE just a little too well...

I'll know to RTFM before I post next time....Maybe (it gave someone a laugh I'm sure)...

I´ve done experiments with Mobius coils in the past. They produce a chaotic field. I was employing them in experiments. Nothing to do with detectors.
Also the winding showed in the link is different from what I used.

Hey, maybe someone will use one of these in an LRL... OOPS there I go again!!

Hush my big mouth and tie me to a 'Gators tail!!

            Mobius coil alread in use

If youall look at my post regarding the Siemens division Roke Manor Mine Detector you will see a figure 8 receive coil. Works fine for finding Mines, metal or plastic types.
