  • Stiffening the coils.

    This might be an old idea but anyhow, to stiffening and waterproof the coils
    when fitted in the housing you could buy some PU foam and fill the housing.
    Remember that of you do you need two holes one as filling hole the other as expansion hole,
    this material expands as it hardens so an idea not to blow the housing is to clamp the entire coil house.

    I have tested it and makes the coils to be in exact place and the slight flexing dissapered.
    However it takes some skills to make it good so some experimenting are needed.

    Sounds like a good idea and it won't add that much weight.

      I've done this to countless Tesoro coil. Trick is to drill one hole at the front of the coil on the bottom, and the other at the back on the top, diametrically opposite each other. Inject foam in one until it comes out of the other (hold head front UP) then clamp and just allow to harden, trim and block holes with plastic melted in mek, sand smooth and BINGO, those windings will NEVER move again.
