    Hi all
Can someone tell the following questions please

1- what type of detector accept different size of search coil
2- is it possible to use thiner or thicker wire gauge, if so what formula you shuold follow for example using 30AWG instead 33AWG
3-how do u design your own coil
4-how do you know your metal detector frequency without manual using osciloscope

    thank you so much

    1. All types of detector can accept different size search coils.
    2. Yes - it is possible to use either a thinner or thicker wire gauge. Either try the coil calculator I posted on this forum previously, or one of the online calculators.
    3. You could write a book on this subject! Which coil type are you interested in? Concentric, coplanar, double-D, double-O, omega, orthogonal, ...., what.?
    4. Not sure what you're asking here. Are you saying that you want to measure the frequency with an oscilloscope? If so, then simply measure the time for one cycle of the TX waveform, and calculate the reciprocal. i.e. F = 1/period.
