the best thing is epoxy resin... you can find 2 components type.
I suggest you find the "surfboard" type, that's really fluid thing and transparent too with not enormous temperature peak.
You have to fix temporary the coils first using some temp tape fixing or glue... anything that resist to 60-80°C temperature peak of your epoxy (do NOT use the 200°C kind... cause you'll make big mess if so... plastic melt ...wire coating melts etc etc etc).
There are good kinds/mix of epoxy ... used e.g. in model aircraft stuff... boat repairs etc BUT DO NOT USE LOADED TYPE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT'S LOADING AGENT (do not use e.g. metal oxides loaded epoxy for coils work... unless you know you can do safely). The clear, transparent kind is often the best choice, expecially for beginners.
Then when you are ready with all the rest (fixing, use disposable gloves, glasses, work outside etc):
you better mix it few at a time... using disposable stuff... e.g. small plastic containers (say 50ml at each time)... then you'll drop it few at a time above windings... all around etc.
Then repeat the drop after few hours (depending on curing time of your epoxy) when first heat was already dispersed by environment.
And be really careful : EPOXY COULD KILL YOU ALSO IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ANY COMPONENTS (about 15% of people are allergic to them but very few have strong allergic reactions to them... if so... your eyes burns immidiately and you cannot breath... stop immidiately and go to the near hospital... I'm not joking).
USE ALWAYS GLOVES, GLASSES, WORK OUTSIDE ETC ETC ETC BEFORE EVEN OPENING THE COVER OF ONE EPOXY CONTAINER. VERY REACTIVE STUFF.
AND WHEN I MEAN REACTIVE... READ IT AT CELLULAR LEVEL
I saw one time one person faint after opening an hardner can...
SO THE MOTTO IS: work clean and last longer!
Kind regards,
Max
