Novel, Non-obvious.... useful ????

I've been stuck on the computer for weeks, can't get to the workbench to continue work on the flat Helmholtz coil.

The mind wanders, however, and this popped up. I was thinking about how to achieve the same result as a large diameter search coil, but much more compact.

I realised that I want to "sweep" the ground for targets, so a something like a wand or broom would be nice.

Any one seen anything like this?
