Hi Guys,
this is what I think the problem is -:
1) Refer to picture : http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/949/coilhelpyb4.jpg
Theres 3 resistors, and a small diagram to show how this unit is wired. The coil goes to a 20w resistor then i think is further calibrated by the other 3 resistors (? not 100% sure)
2) The coil must have to collapse at a certain rate for when the sample is taken, in the original circuit I was given, it uses the resistors in the picture at the very top and I haven't got a clue what they actually are!! Can anyone educate me as to what type of resistor this is? they don't look old, just different!!
But by using these resistors, the original circuit works. The duplicate circuit I have made doesn't ( I used the second ones from the top in the picture) and I've figured it has to be these resistors (because everything else is pretty straight forward). I *think* the resistors Im using are causing the detector to sample at the wrong time(?) because the field is collapsing at a different rate to the original circuit.
the original unit is a prototype and its resistors are connected as you see them in the picture.
Werid huh...
Any help or advice on how to solve this problem would be appreciated!!
Thanks!
