  • Question on 2 coil setup RX coil info

If and I ask from beginners POV and not withstanding the rest of a PI system. If a rx coil were not shielded and as part of a 2 coil setup, I understand the inductance from the tx would linger in the rx but would the resulting signal from a target from the tx be amplified by the residual current in the rx. Would the rx fit the definition of a flux concentrator in this example.
If this would not, would a wire wrapped carbon or ferrite core be a flux concentrator and amplify the signal?
I realize this maybe a strange question but just wondering if this amplification might work. Thanks to all Wyndham

    Sorry for the nutty question

Sorry for the nutty question. I happened on to a site that has GMR(giant magnetic resistive sensors) and thought the tx could power the GMR (analog or digital)and it spoke of a flux concentrator to enhance the signal from a target.
My thinking was that it doesn't matter if it's a coil or sensor that detects a signal just if one might be better than the other.
    Just a thought, Wyndham
