      I have shielded the bottom side of the coil with graphite now (see below). Before sealing the coil totally, I will investigate the phase shift adjustment on real field tests. If the balance winding is not shielded, it will give false signals due to capacitive effects. I have tested the unshielded balance winding with my hands and it is giving some signal.

      Tomorrow is the big day.

        I made an universal coil holder for some quick and dirty coil field tests. I was quite surprised about the materials: polyester resin is solving polystyrene!!! (see below)
        Anyway, the coil holder is not perfect but will do his job well. I will make some easy coils next time using only polystyrene and hot glue. The coil holder will hold the test coil.
