Here is what i saved in some notebook from the time i played with MD3007...few years ago.

What i remember is that; TX has 60 windings and RX app. 200 windings.
Wire gauge i dont remeber, but i guess 0.4mm for TX and 0.22 for RX will do just fine. TX frequency was 15kHz .
      That is all i remembered...

I got it 2003 or 2004 ...not sure. It was "made in china" look-like non motion metal detector. Yet was very descent at performances. I worked with it on the fields for several months. Need extra pation (nonmotion) to "follow" ground changes slowly if want top performances with it. Not so deep, but deep enough for coins. Remember i found 4 extra small and thin gold coins once...5mm diammeter at 12-15cm depth in medium soil (low mineralisation)! Wow! Need often "reset"-ing to maintain balance on ground conditions.
Later...i opened it and trace pcb and made many copies. Original coil was not so interesting to me so i made a bit larger coils (25cm) using 0.4mm for TX and 0.22mm for RX. I put 54 wind for TX and 180 for RX. Later fine readjusted coil response with adding extra capacitors on pcb...or substracting, depends...from case to case. I put Al foil over TX and RX also. Both Al "cages" had gaps 1cm. Both had also naked wire few turns to make good conntact and later connected to cable shield and gnd to pcb.
At original coil only TX had Al cage?? Ha,ha. I gained better stabillity with my coils where RX was shielded also..
This is nice small and easy detector. Non motion and very cute. I do recommend it. Actually it is one of many Micronta variations, shown up on market in last 15 years...by many manufacturers.
