    Carl,
    Was there a reason that copper foil cannot be used as the shielding material. I can get some thin copper with an adhesive backing fairly easily and it's very easy to solder to.

    I've never tried copper foil, although I have some. As I understand it, shield material that's too conductive can degrade performance. Conductivity is related not only to the foil metal, but also the thickness (skin effect), so very thin copper foil may be OK. I just don't know.
