  • Coil Help

    Hi Everyone,
I have some wire I found from a CRT. It was used for Degaussing. It measures .0165 inch diam. I want to make a coil for the PI-1. Would you say that it is 26 gage? And would that work following Carl's coil specs? The Wire is coated. Thanks for your in put.

    Regards,
    Dennis L.

    Dennis,

I would say that is close enough. 26 guage is .01594 according to my tables, but who can argue over the difference?

#26 guage enamelled wire should wrap at 58 turns per inch, if you care to check it that way.
