  • Unknown Excelerator coils

    So as i posted few days ago; i received 11 various Excelerator coils. All packed in a pile, without any other labels but : "Excelerator EQ2 PRO.."

    Looking at connectors and measuring resistances and inductances i disclosed most of those coils.
    But i have few with (for me) unknown datas and wirements.

    I would like to disclose those too.
    For example:
    I have one 35x25cm Eliptical DD coil with connector same as for Minelab Musketeer and RH but different wirements and measurements, like on this draw. Also have another "Excelerator concentric searchcoil (Detech)" with 21cm diamm.. closed plastic enclosure, same connector and wirements as on draw. And third one with same wirements and connector is 18x11.5cm DD eliptical (small and cute) ...
    So...
    anybody have a clue which are (and for what model) those 3 coils?

    Many thanks in advance!

    P.S.
    Oh yes...draw presents front look at coil connector... Also resistances on draw are only from one of those 3 coils. Others 2 coils resistances are pretty simillar to these on draw..

    Coils

    Ivconic,

    These could be for a Minelab Explorer

    Factory 10" coil

    TX - PIN 1 and 2 560uH 0.94ohm

    RX - PIN 3 and 4 500uh 5.8 ohm

    Pin 3 Shield

    Readings will vary with different brand inductance meters and from coils

    Hope this helps

      Also have 2 coils with connector typical for White's, Fisher's and recently Tesoros...
      Coils are 32cm DD (12") and 36cm DD (14").
      Resistances are:
      12.5" = 5.3 ohms and 38 ohms
      14" = 5.5 ohms and 39 ohms

      Connectors and resistances are like on this draw..

      Also not sure about these coils...
      Again..this is front view.

        Thanks Mark!
        I suspected those are for Explorer...although was not sure at all!
        You just justified my doubts!

            ok..

            * 35x25cm DD eliptical = 1.4 ohms and 6,5 ohms
            * 21cm cc Detech = 2.1 ohms and 4.7 ohms
            * 18x11.5cm DD eliptical = 1.8 ohms and 6.7 ohms

            connector like this one;

              Just checked this from my last post. Yes it is for Explorer! However, those few coils i have for it showed fantastic performances!!! Wow!
              I am not familliar with Explorer. Not at all. But owner made some usuall adjustments and we measured some air distances, comparing to original coil.

              * Original coil (which one it was!!!) i havent payed attention! Damn! Some looks like 10"....or so.. - 1e coin = 29cm
              * 35x25cm DD eliptical = 1.4 ohms and 6,5 ohms - 1e coin = 36cm
              * 21cm cc Detech = 2.1 ohms and 4.7 ohms - 1e coin = 26cm
              * 18x11.5cm DD eliptical = 1.8 ohms and 6.7 ohms - 1e coin = 22cm
              It is night so we performed just skim and fast tests...Explorer was at same adjustment with all coils...
