  • White's 4B and 2D (doublet) coils

    Hello,
I am intersted in vintage White's metal detectors of the 70's. I would like to know if 4B coils (used on the Alaskan, CM 4, BC 6,...)will fit White's detectors with 2D coils and vice versa.
Among the many old White's detectors I own, there is a Minimaster with a 4 B coil. On Ebay, I recently saw the same Minimaster model, fitted with a 2 D doublet coil. Have both White's Minimaster detectors the same circuit?
I guess that inside the 4B coil, there must be a trim condenser just like the one in the 2D doublet coils, to match the coil to the circuit. I also would like to fit a 6" or an 8" 2D coil to my Minimaster with the 4B coil.
    Can anyone help me?
    Best regards,
    André
