Mostly just keep your inductance around 350uH regardless of size.

                Use inductance meter.

hey friends the atachment for the sand shark is just a conector with two pins , so my question is if this dont have any kind of shield or so.... if the construction of the coil is just make the turns and keep the inductance in the sugested level? ... is this going to work?....dont matter the wire used if the inductance is keeped at that level? is there any risk that my machine could be damaged?? guru!!!!!!!
guru!!!! bless me with your knowledge!!!! i need some extra depth!!!!!!
                  greetings seeeya!!!!

hey the only matter in the construction of coils for the sand shark is keeping the inductance at 358 uh? whats about the diameter of the wire? whats about the number of turns? i sould find these values by trying? winding and measuring? i have found this machine is incredible sensitive to gold but i want get more depth for hunting for big caches( and deep) of gold... i wish built an 30x 30 inch coil for reaching something like a meter and a half or two meters .... i want inv”te tesoro sand shark owners to helpme develope such big coils, very sensitive to caches and big and deep nuggets!!!!!

                        deeper, harder, longer, etc...

From what I've read about PI units, in order to increase detection depth you need to strengthen the xmt pulse by widening the xmt pulse width.
The tradeoff is a slower pulse decay, requiring the 1st sample pulse to be pulled out further on the timeline. This will reduce sensitivity to smaller targets.

bbsailor's excellent article on fast coil design discusses the tradeoffs, as well as Reg Sniff's article on PI design.

Just like juggling hand grenades, it's all a balancing act...

hey guys the fact is that i bought the sand shark but now i am looking for more depth and i am some novice in the matter of modifying the metal detector... hey i have a gold century gc 1016A and i would like to know the way to build a bigger coil cause this machine works at 6 khz and with a big coil i can get more depth.... iam hunting for big caches....
