  • Building larger VLF coil

I have a 10.5" dd coil for a vlf, I was wanting to build a 15" dd coil. The 10.5" coil uses 28 gauge wire. One side has 67 turns the other 98 turns. For the 15" coil do I need to use a larger gauge wire? Is there a way to calculate how many turns I would need for the 15" ? Thanks, Mark

Better to measure L (inductivity) than calculate it, and start from measured data.
