Whites 15" coil info

Can anyone tell me which pins on the Whites 15" round coil are for transmit- recieve & shield.

pin 2 RX+
pin 3 Shield
pin 4 TX+
pin 5 TX-

White's TDI 5 pin connector with standard 12 inch coil

I would like to do a continuity test to determine if any breaks or damage exists in the search coil assembly. My understanding is that it is a dual field coil;therefore:

Should pin 1 only show continuity to pin 2?
Should pin 4 only show continuity to pin 5?

Yes, although in some loops the RX & TX coils might share a ground. I think on the 15" loop the RX- is internally connected to shield, so pins 1 & 3 will appear shorted. But I think the TX coil is isolated.
