  • Pulse induction Litz Coil Cable

I have had some Cable manufactured specifically for Coil experimenters. This type of coil cable is near impossible to buy and the commercial coil companies will not sell it to you as thet want to sell you a $$$$ coil.

I have some listed on Ebay but for experimenters who want to make their own coils I will slash the price but do not buy it from Ebay.

The inner is conductor is like Litz wire, the braid is spiral wound litz construction, the dielectric is foamed polyethylene and has extremely low capacitance. The resistance is so low I cannot measure it, maybe 0.01 ohm over a meter. Pics and links are on my website.

        Woody,

What is the capacitance in pf of this cable per meter?

        Thanks

          It is 76pf per meter.

.... and characteristic impedance 50 Ohm?

It is not RF coaxial cable, the inner strands are insulated from each other and the braid strands are insulated from each other and spiral wound. I have no idea on the characteristic impedance as it was specified to be Low C with lowest resistive losses at a given diameter.

                Hi Woody,

                Nice Cable!

How much would 5 meters cost ($USD) shipped to the US.

                Thanks Mark

$8.00 AUD PM I suppose around $7 USD PM I have to get shipping costs as I have not weighed the cable. For experimenters shipping at cost.
