As you know all PI detectors can't discriminate. There are few models of PI who can make a discrimination (other at ferrous and no ferrous and other at low and high conductivity). Minelab has (maybe) the best discrimination of all the PI detectors BUT it has not so good discrimination as a VLF detector.
This is the reason that i wrote "good". Of course the price is very high.

    Thanks Geo
I understand now, all interesting stuff, the day a PI or format to that penetration can be engineered by someone or some people is the day that will wipe out other formats as we know.
The way things are progressing in not to far in the fucture there will be nothing under 1meter to detect, in 50 years time they will be talking about 100s of meters, makes the mind boggle.

Here at Greece we use coils 2x2 m. Very deep coils but need flat terrain. But these coils are for non motion detectors.

For the tests in the air but if it will work well on the ground? MINELAB GPX 4000 and TDI are excellent for your purpose: small and medium-sized objects on the surface. They pulse frequency and pulse width is not adjusted for in-depth search of large objects at greater depths (large coils). Also in the reverse case: it is impractical to work with small coils on Delta Pulse...

Hi Geo. I want to see with which the detector is similar to the TDI detector. But when you zoom in the top side i do not see marks on Integrated Circuits ... Do you have a photo up close?

my friend geo what do you think about lorenz x3 with 1x1 coil???is better than your whites dti 1x1 coil???have you ever try the lorenz with 2x2 and 3x3 frame coils??

                            Hi.
At TDI you can adjust the pulse width between 10us and 25us. When i work with discrimination "on" then for me 17us is the best choise for best ground balance and good gain at medium and high sized objects.

You must move the coil up to object so to have signal. With so big coil and with a motion machine it is inpossible to pinpoint
