Question to all when will be produced new model of TDI , because like WM6 suggested and couple similar post best choice is TDI

Probably it is better to buy latest improved version than wait for newest model.

Like to all technical things (car, PC, phone etc.) there will comming newest or improved models on regulary basis and if you constantly wait on newest, you can wait to ethernity without have one.

But maybe Carl can put here some comment about existing improvement on TDI?

I am really confused from suggestion,knowledge from forum and some articles what I have read I conclude that TDI is best for searching gold in coins,necklaces.... not for prospecting ,
today I call local supplier and he told me that best solution for searching coins and similar object is from minelab expecially model 4500 and E TREK

what is the truth

if you mean for more % because 4500 is more expensive , also told me that minelab have far better Metal Detector from all producers

he also told that E trek is far better than TDI , if you mean that he have in mind his % I think that TDI and E TREC are close with price

If E-Trac is "far better" then buy E-Trac. What is your problem?

By the way, "far better" 4500 cannot distinct lead from gold. On clean terrain this is OK, but terrains around you are polluted in different past wars by lead projectiles.

We can't compare E-trac with TDI.
First is VLF and the second is PI. Two very diferent technologies.

Clearly the supplier cannot recommend a TDI because he is unable to supply it. The salesman will only sell you what he is able to sell. Everything else is rubbish.

For normal terrain without ceramics etc, E-trac is better.
If the terrain is "heavy" or there are a lot of ceramics or you want to use a bigger coil then the TDI is the Must!!!
Also you can look at Whites V3

I am planing to search coins,necles .....in abandon places in most of the cays 70 % on hills-probably without lot of ceramic bath also it would be chance(30%) to search in places with ceramic

Only what I want is to not make mistake on the start and everything after that would go wrong with bad choice of detector

What about SNIFFER AL 707 I have that model ,which was bought from my father bath without manual , detector is not used ,,,,,
Can someone tell me more about this MD
have two knobs discriminant and sensitivity , also where is place for hand one knob probably for fine tuning

SNIFFER AL 707? Not known to me. Maybe you mean GOLDGUN AL707? Very good recreation tools.

If you want to search deep (to use bigger coil), if you want to search on haevy terrain, if you wish to discriminate between metal conductivity, if you want to have detector capable to be specialised to gold (PI & short delay), if you wish at the same time moderate priced detector and if you are willing to dig on all signals, then my choice (and suggestion to you) will be Whites TDI.

But you have to know first what you really want.

There is no detector that would guarantee that you will find gold. It seems that you are searching for such detector.

If you are afraid to take responsibility for MD purchasing then you must to know that others cannot take responsibility for your decision.

About the SNIFFER it was produced in England I have to check number of model for sure
