I have a wire dimensions chart that lists .315mm (bare) wire but does not list .31mm. If you cannot find the precise wire specified it is best to use the next larger size wire. Otherwise you may lose some signal output strength.

So, if you cannot find .31mm wire you may want to use either .315mm or else use 28AWG which is .32mm. Since these numbers represent the bare wire diameter, the dimension of enameled wire would probably be about .35mm to .36mm, estimate for single thickness enamel.

You want the "Magnet Wire Dimension Chart" although there is a another shorter chart that is also handy.
