    what would be the best coax and connectors to use on a PI detector???

    For a PI you want cable with a low capacitance (pF/Ft), the lower the better. Belden is a good site to look for wire/cable specs, most of the large mail order (Mouser, Digikey) and local electronic (graybar, anixter) carry Belden brand. Example below:

    One problem is that this cable is expensive, and most places only sell at a minimum 100 ft spools.

    In reality anything will work, and having low capacitance cable really won't make a difference unless you're tweaking other things to lower overall capacitance to be able to sample @ less than 10 uSec.

    I think the BBSailor artical has some cable suggestions and other great info!

    Any good quality BNC plug and socket is good for mono cable.
