Can You help make a large coil for a minelab pi detector?

How large can this be?

Brian,
the diameter of TX coil is restricted by soil conductance.The timeconstant of GND signal depends on TX coil diameter and the worst case is in salty beach where 260mm is maximal tolerable diameter.

Coils for ML F1A4

Hi,
the F1A4 is a dumbed down version of the SD2200. Any 5 pin ML coil should work on it. All Coiltek, Nuggetfinder, Commander and orig Minelab coils should suit. Biggest you can get are 25" mono or DD. If the plugs on the original F1A4 coil are different, just replace the socket on the control box with a 5 pin one. AG

The above is correct, If you replace the military style connector, with a 5 pin, any of the mono coils should work fine.

I also installed a 6 pol toggle and can now run DD coils on the F1..
