Cobra search coil

    Change all points -8V to 0V and situation will be clear. Supply voltage for oscillator and coil is 8V. Signal was measured in relation to 0V. Then amplitude was 7.8V (7.8Vp or 15.6Vpp). Other signals was measured in relation to ground (GND).

      It follows that oscillator circuit operates very efficient. At theoretical possible 16Vpp it delivers 15,6Vpp; only 0,2V loss in the generator.

        Mark, thank you again for your great photos of the PCB you sent me. btw I did buy CobraII-Baron from Mike I. and wait a shipping.

        Cobra II in plastic control box housing,battery pack,3 piece rods and 8" coil with coil cover.

          Thats great! Let us know how you like it. As I remember the factory coil
          was cheaply made. Maybe you can improve it.

            what size of the wire is suitable for king cobra coil ?
