  • RG62 or dual coax for a low capacitance cable?

    RG62
This cable has 13.5 PF/ft and 12.8PF/ft for the plenum variety. Anybody tried this yet? The solid copper conductor is smaller (0.6mm) than regular RG6 type so maybe it won't be as easily detected.

The other type I'm wondering about is just a dual coax (RG6) like what is used for sat or cable installations. Could just the center conductors be wired instead of the cable shield (for a mono coil)? The distance between the two center conductors (2 dielectric insulators + some air) should give a low capacitance between conductors? This coax has two copper 1mm center conductors so it may be more detectable than others.

Best to just try it out and see the result but I was curious if anyone had tried either of these options for a very low capacitance coax.

Halo, for minimum capacitance is used "twisted pair" cable. search WEB and see
