hello i have this detector and i want to build a bigger coil like 25inch but i don't know how many circles need and diameter of wire. i check the ohms are 3,5 ohms? that's right?

    thank you

The Prizm/Coinmaster loops are simply un-tuned versions of the Eclipse loops (MXT/DFX). You can actually connect an Eclipse loop to the CM and it will work pretty well, with perhaps a few VDIs of error. This could be adjusted out with the ferrite trimmer.

TX inductance is ~540uH, RX is ~13.8mH.

You could try a DFX loop and see if it will work for you. It may or may not. And the largest DFX loops are the 12" concentric and the 8x14 DD, neither of which is anywhere close to the 25" you would like. But the inductance numbers are right, so you can wind your own if you want, and there is no internal padding or tuning to deal with for the Prizm.

Years ago there was a 25" 'Magnum' coil made for the older 6.6kHz White's models. I'm sure it won't work on the CM, and I don't think a version was ever made for the DFX, but I may be wrong. Look around, see if you can find one.

            Thats interesting Carl-NC
I have a 8x14DD I bought it for my DFX , I also have the Prizm 1V, and never got round to trying it on that one.
I will let you know for fucture reference.

            Regards
