Hi Bernard,,,Hope you are well,,,,,Curious about your LC Meter (UNI-T UT603),,how accurate are they? Never seen this model before so I'm wondering whether to get one or not,,,I have 4 different ones at the moment but they they all give different readings and I dont know which one to trust,,lol. The most accurate o the four (I think) is my Holdpeak LC meter, though it wasn't expensive it seems to be more accurate than the rest because after I've wound a coil and reached the Inductance needed, when I've connected the coil to the Oscope it's usually within 1-2% of the frequency it's supposed to be,,,all of the others seem way out by anything up to 60uh above the Inductance I'm aiming for,,Thanks,,Regards,,,Marty

It is also a fast coil due to very little inter winding capacitance.

i see this matter again and again poping up. WHERE IS VERY LITTLE?
i again go in google. http://weldworld.ru/theory/summary/o...nicaemost.html

      dielectric constant of textolite is 50 Гц, 20 ?С 5-7 106 Гц, 20 ?С 6-8

just AIR has 19 ?С 1,000576 near vacuum.
      AIR IS ALWAYS BEST -!

No idea how accurate - the range is 2 mH. But in this case, as a relative measurement, it confirms that the total inductance value is 3x that of a single coil.
For simple bundle coils, the measurements match up with the calculations.
It is definitely not one of the best LC meters, but I am satisfied with it so far.
        Regards,
        - Bernard
