  • Are the Pulsemate coils bait for fools?

Hi guys! recently I bought a Pulsemate coil for Minelab GP,GPX/ White's TDI impulse metal detectors with the intention to try it on both GPX4500 and White's TDI detectors. What happened was that this coil didl not work at all!!! On the GPX4500 it overloads the circuit and shows coil over current message and on the TDI it won't work at all!!! What a waste of money!!! On the other hand I had the chance to taste it out so I am not so disappointed! Well you just beware of this one!! It may or may not be good for your GPX/GP/TDI detector-depends when it was "born", who produced it, what was the humidity, time.... Many variables.... Well,I gave it a try and it did not work-may be you will be lucky! Who knows-just give it a try and forget for your money you payed for it!
Good luck in discovering the already discovered .....

So you own a TDI and a Gpx4500?
Many hundreds of various Pulsemate coils in many different sizes and configurations been sold throughout the world with good success.
Many fault has been the set up and tune to suit the detector for aftermarket detector coil. aka, many Coiltek and Nuggetfinder aftermarket coils go overcurrent. on GPX detector, and also may not function as per original supplied coil,to suit on Pi detectors. This is well known and any different coil from standard the operator adjusts their detector settings to suit.
Maybe you need to adjust your settings for both units,to match and realise the performance differences of a different coil.
We dont know in what size or config. your coil is? mono,DD ,11 inch,14inch, 18inch, or larger?
Where have you purchase this coil from? if you not happy from a commercial purchase, just get a refund and be done with it,??
I have several Commercial made coils from major Manufacturer for popular brands and these also dont perform as expected and advertised. We try all as we may.
Then we build ourselves sometimes to try and get better?Have you done this?

Hi Rov, I do really appreciate your feedback ! Trust me there is no offense in my posting! I was just surprised and had to fight with this coil and to fix some problems and finaly to try it to every single piece of Minelab GP/GPX or White's TDI to see if it is going to work.... The coil is the "winner" so far Well I bought this coil of eBay with the intention to test it out so I did. I am happy and there is no problem with that! I wish you good future for the Pulse Mate Metal detectors and coils and I would definitely buy a proven Pulsemate coil for my GPX4500 in the future from you! Keep us informed for your progress in the R&D "kitchen"!
        Thank you and good luck!
