Help! Coil repair, Detech Excelerator 5"

I bought this coil on ebay. Connected to excal, works well, in room.
When i first time went into water with it, this little coil get some water in his belly and gone crazy. :/
It is filled with air or something that is lighter than water, floats.




The water next to the cable went into it.

Has anyone fixed a similar coil?

I opened the coil. The sponge was filled with water. Now dry. After relaying alcohol.

thanks for the photos. you can delete off a thermoglue heating by thermofan and working flat screwdriver.
