  • help find carls thread

Somewhere on this site is a paper Carl Wrote which states the size of the RX to TX winding ratios and also the size of the bucking coil. I have searched for an hour or more and cannot find it. The one I'm looking for IS NOT his Coil Basics PDF article.
In the article he states that building concentric coils is easy,,,,the problem usually encountered is getting the bucking coil sized properly and then goes on to tell how to calculate the size of the BC.
    Anyone help out?

YES!!! One and the very same. I see the problem now........ it ws Dave emery and not Carl that wrote it. That helps when searching to get the right Author!
      Thanks man.

          Ya,,but

after reading both documents again (thanks Homefire) I am still in need of some direction on a finer point.
Daves article is very well written and easy to follow but he speaks of a bucking coil on the TX side, In series with the main TX coil but wrapped around the RX coil. He even gives the formula for calculating.
My needs are to put a bucking coil on the RX side in series with the main RX coil yet wrapped around the TX coil. This is opposite of Dave's fine example. Anyone here know the formula and proceedure for figuring that out??
Carl's document refers to both methods but gives no details on either.
