Has anyone used Litz wire for an experimental coil? If so, what were the results?

I use homemade flat Litz wire for all windings in my coils. The results are:
    - Decreased AIR signal at induction balance (less eddy currents in wire),
    - Decreased proximity effect in wire because strands are not twisted,
    - Decreased stray capacitance of winding,
    - Easy achievement of any desired resistance by changing the number of strands.
The diameter of one strand is between 0.15 and 0.25 mm.

Thanks Mikebg...That was my line of thinking also. I may try some experimenting with different coils using it.
