  • DIY Trash coil for LOBO Super Traq

    Hey guys new member here.

I want to build a small coil for my LOBO ST. Maybe 4" to 6" diameter.

I think I could calculate the inductance for the new coil, however I don't know what the original coil is. (I don't have inductance meter)

I tried to search but got multiple answers, most were not for the newer super-traq version.

I understand that its the same coil on other models of Tesoro?

    My connector has 4 pins.

Anyhow glad I found this place.

Here is the method by which You can make your coil.

    http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18582

Here are the data of the coil Lobo, Tejon, Vaquero (one and the same).

    Rx 1-3 r = 4,0-4,3 om f(10H)=48,4-48,7 kHz
    Tx 2-4 r = 63 - 66 om f(10H)=12,05-12,11 kHz

From these data can make the coil of any size and shape.

Thanks FOMA, I was looking at your device and thin I will build it.

I am a little lost on the "f(10H)" part, is that the Henries?

I am going to get started today, spring is around the corner.

        10H are in the generator.

To do winding, connected to the generator and measure the frequency and resistance. To achieve the required parameters, then make balance, do the screen.

If I remember right the H on that schematic means nF.

Your machine runs at 17.8 kHz

Here is some info on the Original Lobo runing at 20Khz.

Should put you in the Ball Park

That's awesome, thanks to both you guys. I will keep ya posted with any progress.

            Yes mine is ~17.8kHz.

            Pins 1 and 3 measure 5.2 ohms
            Pins 2 and 4 measure 88.5 ohms

              27,5sm/2,54=10,8" But to 6 inches.

              6x2,54=15,2sm.

Need not ellipse, but need a circle. Or may be the ring.

I have not given up FOMA, lol, it's just I have a hard time understanding your posts.

Specifically when you use commas instead of decimals, no spaces and different symbols. Thanks.

PLEASE give THE PHOTOS of Lobo coil ORIGINAL inside. I ask you urgently. no decimal! no spaces! no symbols! only HD photos of ORIGINAL coil with all measurements! I will give you full recomendations how to build a good coil for Lobo in the case.

I really do not want to cut the coil open, although I am obviously curious what's inside.
