CAT7 cable as instant shielded coil

Have anyone tried this? There is a plenum of wire pairs, easily identified, a real shield, and not too much plastic. So instead of winding up 80 turns of a single wire I'd have to make 10 turns and weld wires carefully to make them go in series. The only concern is to make sure that shield from one end does not short with the other end.

Any suggestions?
