  • Parameters for a Concentric VLF search coil

    Hi, it's me again !

    Please, visit this thread before to understand what is the purpose of my project....

    The problem is, I suck as a newbie and this will be my very irst attempt to build a coil...
    That's why I need your help to design it.

    I saw this model before. At first sight, it's quite easy (that's why I want to reproduce it), but...
    There are no indication regarding the number of turns and the diameter of each coil !?

    And for the bucking coil, may I just use the same wire as the TX and wind it in the opposite way ? Or should they be two separate coils ?

    It depends on the transmit frequency you want to use. You can use the coil calculator at the top of the Coils Forum to work the inductance you will get for a given number of turns.
