Fisher 1265-X or 1266-X

Do you know what is the difference between 1265-X and 1266-X,??
NOT technically/electronically but of the user's point of view.
the 1265-X is on my bucket list, looking for one for years.
very difficult to find one, but i have the opportunity to buy a 1266-X.
is the 65-X a better machine than the 66-X again of the user's point of view?

The 1265 and 66 are identical circuit wise. They probably changed some resistor and capacitor values between the two. Blind folded, you probably couldn't tell the difference.

i found the answer i was looking
My concern was the performance on wet beach sand.
the 1265-X looks like that perform better than the 1266-X.
I will have to wait for a 1265-X

I had a dozen 1265 and only a couple of 1266 models. 1265 is not better than 1266, on the contrary; The 1266 is a shade better than the 1265.
And with the small 8" "spider" coil it's noticeably better.
Although the schematics are identical; they're still not 100%.
There are some improvements with the 1266.
And there's certainly a much better S/N ratio, due to the fact that all of the electronics are placed on one pcb.
But it is much more important to know that there is a big jump in performance with the newer series of "spider" colils compared to the old white "cakes".
If you have 1265; you don't have to change to 1266; it is enough to replace the coil and take an 8" or 10" "spider" coil and you have already taken a big step forward.
Although... this is interesting. I also opened several old white coils and inside I saw the same morphology as the new "spider" coils.
So it looks like they just ditched the white coil covers and potted everything in black plastic and epoxy.
But it seems to me (because I have no reliable information) that this is not the only difference.
I'm sure that the "spider" coils have been improved in some way, because I noticed much better performance on the fields.
With both; 1265 and 1266 too.

looking on promises... it is standart like always - "much much better and more depth".
are you surprised? what you see in the promises of newest detectors? NOT SAME??
