Deus I v.s Deus Ii

I would like opinions from people who have used both detectors, is the Deus II really that much better because it is more expensive, i.e. is the performance as different as the price difference?

My brother sold his Deus 2 because he could not handle it. He is still super satisfied with Deus 1. In his opinion the Deus 2 is not working good with the software.

The Deus II is a massive improvement, well worth the upgrade.

Last summer I had a friend visit me from another place, an XP Deus II owner.
Before that, my brother-in-law bought an XP Deus II and had it for a couple of months, but he didn't do well with it.
So I created a slight bias based on that.
But then that friend suggested one day that we go out into the field.
Me with XP Deus 1 and he with XP Deus 2.
And the agreement was that whichever of the two of us found the target; calls the latter to check with his detector, before digging.
There is no need to describe the details, I will go straight to the conclusion.
XP Deus II is superior to XP Deus 1 ... BUT only in the hands of someone who knows it well.

I have to agree 100%, I've had my Deus 2 for over 1 year now and can say, with the 9" coil it is superior to even the Equinox 800 which I had for 3 years prior to the Deus 2. You must spend time to understand what the audio is conveying to you. But it takes time. Sure, you can go to a site and try and cherry pick but there is so much hidden amongst the iron that requires listening and time to understand. How ever it takes time.
