"lissajous" - look a like X,Y coordinate detection display is very interesting, must say!
I took it yesterday afternoon outdoor (unlike at your place; here is warm like in Spring, today 15 degrees!!!).
So i checked practical aspects of using those 2 unpublished modes.
X,Y coordinate detection display i founded as very interesting and useful in iron type and size distinguishing! Wow!
Now i can pretty successfully predict what kind&size of iron i detected before digging!
Very useful at some situations!

The other one option, "GB history", is very handy when you want to only walk bit faster and analyze soil condition.
Let's say you want to examine soil mineralization at some smaller area, let say 20x20 meters.
So you switch Deus to "GB history" and walk, don't mind on eventual detection, just observe LCD graphs.
You will see what kind of soil is that in just several steps, so later you will know what to expect relating soil conditions there.

I don't know why they from XP didn't published these two options? Why hiding them?

i knew that the DEUX XP is the best detecting machine ever long time a ago its like all in one detector just missing the PI switch OPTION LOL and that WAS just by seeing it "the 1st sight" 1st and from youtube's videos tests 2nd loooooool REALLY... SEDUSING design even about his price not dramatikal as the MINELAB'S
I SAW also a nice machine witch sedused me too its the TEKNETIKS G2 WAS FINE AND FAST working with 18khz
so if we imagine the DEUS as a car it would be a hot sportcar regarding others comercials one "just a detectors comparesion"
AND human tecknology never stops till the rise of the aliens lol

Yes, this is first machine in my life that i am still learning it... after almost a year of having it! (bought it last March)
Very "open" with features, that's why learning never stops.
I can only wonder what will update to ver3 brings to us?
It should came earlier in January, but they delayed it, because (rumors) several bugs were reported.
Last information that i have is middle of February, looking forward, so restless!

Unlike you; i was wrong at the beginning about Deus. First time i saw it; i hated it on the first sight.
I thought it was just another "colorful" toy.
I was wrong, obviously.

I have got hands upon the deus v2 just just from about 2 weeks ago. I found it is realy impressing new users. I have used as test-try only in AIR as many differnt items as I could hold near the coil. I found it (as ivconic said some where in this forum) has advanced MD for decades forward. I honestly been impressed by perfrmans of Deus.
Regarding XY visulization, I have found the discrimination is very good and clear besides the Target Volume visualization. For example: You can clearly see the ferros in the (-)Minus quarter i.e. up-left quarter between the X and Y coordinates. Similarly you can see the non-ferrous in the (+) quarter or up-right quarter. More interestingly you can see foil and ironic-weak signals exactly on and Vertical and horizontal (X&Y) Axises. The ground efect, small ugly iron-nails, rust are tied or showed slity over the X-axis. The same for Foil and thin Alominum signals are drawed a companied or twisted to Y-axis. You may see it on the image-below.

A lot of club members in uk buy the big coil on Deus then often go back to regular size.

Thames mudlarks often use a 3" coil as 90% iron trash/rust.

But Mudlarks are restricted to a few centimeters depth they are allowed to dig at most places, so the big coil would just go bezerk with all that junk they encounter there and a small coil is a logical choice..
