There is only one detector better than Deus - it is Deus with larger coil!
It appears to me that the Deus was not configured correctly by the Blisstool dealer. Surely it's not normal for the Deus to sound like a cage full of chipmunks?
Morning to all do not want to put oil on the fire but with all the experts we have on this forum a test like that one should t even be here not same size of coil is already wrong full stop ,it could be with any machine...............also a Deus well set will outperform most of the machine on the market at the moment on most ground execept beaches. But then when the new software will be released that will be again another story Blistool may be good on clean ground but lots of machine set up to their full potential combine with an expert user will steal the show.Check out what is coming out from the ground all over europe with the deus and then lets discuss if the Deus is the VLF the most sold at the moment there must be a reason ,and not marketing because in France as soon as it came out ,the possibilities and performances spread on the net like a wildfire.
Is there anyone here running a 1266X Hot and can compare his to a Deus or a Blisstool.
Have a nice day and i hope i havent offended anyone

RR
Correct!
In honest man hands Deus will outperform any other model that i know.
However... in monkeys hands Deus may be easily outperformed by any crap made by any illiterate idiot on this planet!
That's why is completely pointless to debate about those things at such tricky places as forums are.
Lot of people with hidden agendas, lot of malicious people too, lot of liars and of course lot of completely illiterate and absolutely primitive creatures too.
Ain't no better place on the Internet than Geotech to meet all those cases.
...
As far as i am concerned XP Deus is the very best machine ever made in MD History. Far above any competition.
But that's what i know and serves me the best so far, i let other people to decide on their own... fair enough?
Rivers rat long time no news from you, what's up?
"...Is there anyone here running a 1266X Hot and can compare his to a Deus or a Blisstool..."
I can tell something about 1266x though...
If we forget about all the cosmetics which are in Deus's favor and focus only on really important aspects; 1266x is just cute machine, powerful too.
Of course it can't beat the Deus, by no means, but if you ask me what would be my next choice, after the Deus; i would answer exactly "Fisher 1266x"!
Those two indeed do have some hidden similarities in behavior. Only the one who used both machines can tell that, i did.
Well i m detecting,as much as i can ........waiting for the small coil but not before 2015..................pushing the machine and the man to the limit but most important having fun!Funny now my stem is 4 years old and trashed by gravels, mud, sand and abuse vbut still working like the 1 st when lock by dry mud i pounding it with my spade(got a full spare one anyway).

I envy you on that, i haven't been outdoor with my Deus for long, several months and more! Too much responsibilities and obligations, work is killing me!
My Deus is hanging on the wall as souvenir, packed in backpack, collecting the dust.
Looking forward to nick out least one day for going outdoor with it...
Today i got this book, finally.
A friend obtained it.
Had not much time to read it whole and in details; took just skim look at some pages. There's a fairly common places in the book that are applicable for understanding and use of any other brand and model of metal detector as well, therefore book is real hit for metal detector enthusiasts, as far as i am concerned.
Speaking precisely of Deus... well i spotted few things quite new for me and already learned few interesting things.
I like it.
If i was about to judge on this book and grade it from 1 to 10; i would give it strong 9!
I have one small remark though; such written and composed book like this one is; deserves nothing less than hardcover and colored illustrations, simply to complete whole positive impression.
That's why the grade i am giving it is not pure 10 but strong 9. Otherwise i have no other complains. Perfect for my collection.
Congratulations to author, well done!
Apart from the main aim of the book; i really DO appreciate very nice touch from author on dedicating the book in memoriam to our colleague and great enthusiast Norfolk Wolf:
"... This book Is Dedicated In Memoriam To:
John Burke (a.k.a. John Lynn - The Norfolk Wolf)
10 February 1947 - 14 September 2011..."
I enjoyed and still am enjoying to watch Norfolk Wolf's videos on Youtube.
It's a kind of regular habit for me to check his videos upon some model.
It was very nice touch Andy! Thumbs up!
