There is only one detector better than Deus - it is Deus with larger coil!

I had Ace150 once. A colleague from another place is having Ace250.
I noticed that Ace250 is much better.
Ace150 is in Fisher F2 range...

Yes, Ace250 is a step up from 150. I believe the 250 is about the same as 350. 350 was sold with bigger coil than 250 but they interchange. I'm not familiar with using the F2 but was on a forum in 2014 where a member was pushing the machine and trying to help a lady from Texas. The problem was that he was making it so complicated that it seemed like she was having a hard time.
I thought he should have just gave her a simple setting where she would be digging more. She seemed to have good spots to hunt but was too worried about whether to dig or not. I can't say anything was wrong with the machine but when a person is starting out they should have the machine set to where they are finding stuff and learn the more advanced features as they go.

F2 is very simple to handle and adjust just few parameters. The weakest point at it is coil, too small and too "shallow". Otherwise its machine inside is quite alright design and i am sure that with better coil it can perform much much better.
Ace150 was very decent on "fat" coins as i recall. But it was pretty deaf on bad bronze and smaller silver. Like many other Garrett machines; it is having too stiff Discrimination. Kinda adapted mostly for USA soils and common targets there (large coins).
Later on i saw that situation is significantly better on Ace250. My colleague who owns it, is collecting pretty much and pretty nice coins all the time with it.

Yes you are right, but i am little tired, honestly speaking.
Every once in a while here on forum appears some self proclaimed "expert" with new provocations, all over again and again.
They are coming and than disappearing and i am still here.
There is nothing much else to be said about XP Deus.
I said it all in the title of this topic.
When it was actually?
Look! It was back than 23.III 2012. Wow!
And today is 26.III 2017. 5 years!
Just read again my first post!

If you collect all the possible Youtube video demonstrations in last 5 years, where one model is glorified and another is put in inferior position;
you'll count the largest number of those with exactly XP Deus as the "victim" which is tried to put in inferior position!

No, the ACE 250 is the worst nightmare for other manufacturers. That is why you never see someone locating a target and putting that detector down and picking up the ACE 250 and showing it may find the same target 99 per-cent or more of the time. ACE 250 doesn't have to be best detector, just best at showing that the other ones aren't either.

Real truth is; any detector that suits you: is the best detector!
And i do support such attitude.
I had 93 models so far. Each one was "the best detector" at the time for me.
That's because i generally like detectors.
But when it comes to Deus; i payed it special attention (annoyance for some people) because XP introduced few historical novelties which had never seen before in md industry.
And i was "there" at the time to say something about that. I did it on "my way" with lot of humor and benign mockery, without any bad intentions.
Now if you ask me what's my favorite model; you'll probably be surprised to hear that my favorite model is ... all 93 models that i had so far. Deus is only one among others.
But you know; there are pretty limited people who are not able to understand that.
I never had Ace250, i seen it only few times in action; but i respect it the same as any other model.
